Training Times/Location(s)


 2017 Outdoor Season Location & Times

Our Spring/Summer season begins at the Apple Bowl on Monday April 3rd for all athletes except the Track Rascals who begin w/c April 10th.

All practices are scheduled to take place at the Apple Bowl Stadium located on Burtch Rd in Kelowna.  Athletes can enter the stadium through the main entrance at the Burtch Rd parking lot.

 

 Program Training Times

The following are regularly scheduled training times.  Some variation around holidays and training days bordering meets.  Your coach will indicate if there’s any variation to the schedule and updates will be provided in emails and the newsletter as the season progresses.

Track Rascals (ages 6-8)
The Track Rascals will practice at the Apple Bowl every Monday or Wednesday 5 – 6:30pm.
This year Track Rascals are able to train on both days if they wish – see registration form for fees.

Junior Development (ages 9-13)

Our Junior Development athletes will train at the Apple Bowl every Monday and Wednesday 5-7pm
and every Saturday from 10-12 noon.

Senior Power/Speed (Midget, Youth, Junior, Senior, & Masters)

All senior athletes who wish to train for sprinting, hurdles, jumps and throws will train in the Power/Speed group.
Training will be at the Apple Bowl every Monday and Wednesday 6-8:30pm and Saturday 10-12 noon.

Supplemental Training (coach recommendation required)

beginning April 13th
Supplemental training will be Thursday 7-8:30 at the Apple Bowl and Sunday 10-11:30 Locations TBD

** This program in intended for competitive athletes and therefore Sunday practices may be cancelled on competition weekends.

Senior Middle Distance/Distance (Midget, Youth, Junior, Senior, & Masters)

Practice will be Monday 5-6:30 (apple bowl), Thursday 5-6:30 (off track) and Saturday 10-12noon (apple bowl)

** Practices on holiday days will have to be confirmed

MASTERS GROUP (Sprints, Sprint Hurdles Jumps and Throws)
All masters athletes who wish to train for sprinting, hurdles, jumps and throws will train in the Power/Speed group.
Training will be at the Apple Bowl every Monday and Wednesday 6-8:30pm and Saturday 10-12 noon.

Athletes are asked to arrive for practice on time.  If, for any reason you will be late or cannot make it to a practice, please inform your coach ahead of time.  Please be aware that early in the season it can get quite cold at the Apple Bowl, especially when the sun has gone down.  Athletes should dress warmly in layers and bring a water bottle.  We recommend gloves for the Track Rascals and younger J.Ds

 

Parents: please collect your athletes on time at the end of each practice.
